Killing Time

1. Alone in the half-light of a day well wasted as it devours a night inadequately squandered.

2. Is it wrong to enjoy the nothingness of a time-blind eternity?3. To know that today is yesterday and that tomorrow has already come?4. To relish in the dread of knowing that the awaited someday is just today with the flavor of yearning and fear?5. Is it wrong to remember that that darkest, most hideous day was just today through a lens of regret and curiosity?

6. That the present is merely a veneer of professionalism over the face of eternal process, made small and simple for the comfort of minds that weep and shout.7. That if I face the fact that my birth and death occur in the same present, that my skin crawls and my heart quickens.

8. Is it wrong to call tomorrow now?9. How wide is the present?10. Am I entitled so to call my minute nibbling of a billion billion years?

11. My mortal, vapid, infinitesimal territory on the infinite landscape of time.

12. Is it wrong to savor the smallness?13. The temporary?14. To enjoy my nothingness in an eternal today and tomorrow and then?15. Must I define my endless living with increments of days?16. Must I mark the lands I wander for others to stomp where I explore?17. Must I relegate the beautiful half-second to the irrelevance of the smallest unit?

18. The briefest instant, twinkling of a lover's eyes in the sunset, made less and worse and weaker in light of the fact that it lasts "only" for an instant.19. I live right now, I die right now, I love and hope and cry right now.20. Is it wrong to live in timeless twilight and dread the insistent question of what time, amputated from the whole without anaesthetic, it happens to be "right now?"
